Take a look at some of the programs The Denver Alumni Chapter Engages in

Denver Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship Foundation

The Denver Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship Foundation was formed to provide an institution with perpetual provisions for future maintenance and support of young African-American men who have excelled in high school and are enrolled in college. The Foundation was chartered August 20, 1987 in the State of Colorado and received it federal 501c(3) income tax exemption status on April 19,1989.

Over the past 40 years, the Denver Alumni Chapter has honored young African-American men at its Annual Scholarship and Awards Luncheon, giving money in scholarships. In addition, providing a laptop computer for the young men to take with them to college. It is through this tradition that the Denver Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship Foundation has realized its purpose in maintenance and support of young African American men who have excelled in their high school careers.

Guide Right Youth Program

The fundamental purpose of the Guide Right Program is to simply guide young boys within the local community in the right direction by providing scholarships, leadership, and critical life skills that will enable them to be successful. Also to inform young people about different professions and career options.

 Kappa League Program

The Kappa League is an organization oriented toward helping young men of high school age to grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor. It provides both challenging and rewarding experiences which richly enhance their lives. It is the purpose of the Denver Alumni Chapter to help these young men to achieve worthy goals for themselves and to make constructive contributions to their community when leadership roles become their responsibility. All volunteers are welcome to participate in any of our projects, at any level of participation.

Feeding The Homeless

The Denver Alumni Chapter partners with the Denver Rescue Mission during the Holiday season to feed and hand out complimentary toiletries to the homless.

 Political Action

The mission of the Denver Alumni Chapter's Political Awareness Committee is to unite, encourage, promote, assist and inspire proactive advocacy for national and international causes that require Kappa activism and participation.

Feeding Families

For decades, the Denver Alumni Chapter has provided holiday meals during the Thanksgiving holiday by purchasing and delivering food baskets to the homes of less fortunate families in the Denver-Metro Area. Each basket contains a turkey, and various side items.
